Can You Make Good Money Online? No Then Yes!
Ah! The trappings of success. It will only be a short time before
toasts are in order and an endless string of them at that. Keep this image in your head for encouragement because you are going to need it. That said, it can happen.
For most people the answer is going to be no and that’s it. But for many others it will start out as no but then morph into yes. That is my trajectory and it’s about the same for even some of the most successful internet marketers.
The trick is to mitigate the time and resources used in that part of the journey where you are not making any net profits. This can be done several ways. The best way is if you have a close friend or relative that has a successful and lucrative way of making money online and is willing to show you the ropes in great detail. This is an awesome way to go about it. I will call this the silver spoon group. Ah! I’d love to be in that group. I wish I were doing it that way but I am not.
I am in the large group that learns as best they can. I am going to call this the Lions and tigers and bears oh my group. Why? Because there are a lot of things that will get you. This group learns through a series of courses, conversations, and experience. This is the most arduous and expensive way to do it. Most of the people that go this route will never earn any serious money online. Because I am in this group I know that this reality stares you in the face every day.
What You Have To Do
I can say the biggest task is learning you. You can learn lessons
from everyone else but you have to figure out just how you will use the best and worst practices that you have learned to create the
strategy that reflects your personal set of skills, gifts, and ethics. You have them. I am an aware (stay woke) christian (some are unaware that they are Christians :)) and I firmly believe that God gave us all gifts. What are yours. For example, I recently bought some email swipes that I won’t use because of the overly deceptive nature of the headlines. It’s not the deception so much as it is my belief that people aren’t stupid. So they open up my email. I don’t believe that the offers are so great that the person opening the email will think wow, I am so glad that they tricked me into opening this. When I get these emails I immediately unsubscribe. This marks the official end of my rant.
It just takes time to learn the industry and learn how you will operate in it. So my biggest advice is develop a routine for producing promotions and the controls that fit in with your ethics in terms of approach. Expect that most of your promotions will fail. Learn to move on and tweak (the MOAT strategy :). Many things don’t work but some do. You will focus time and resources on the ones that do when they show themselves.
